ECG Fundamentals
This course is designed for those at a beginner to intermediate level and will cover the basics of interpreting ECGs. The method of teaching ECG’s is different from normal, with more emphasis on how the ECG works and a more in-depth understanding of the electrophysiology of the heart. This is suited for techs, nurses, nursing students, and medical school students looking to learn and understand electrocardiograms and telemetry monitoring.
Instruction is through a series of videos followed up by a short quiz over the covered content. At the end of this course, students should have a base level understanding of electrocardiography, a baseline understanding of electrophysiology of the heart, be able to identify most cardiac rhythms, and do a 12 lead interpretation. The foundations of this course will be expanded on higher level classes and will allow students to more easily understand higher level teaching in regards to ECG interpretation.
